Enjoy with Your Family

Nominate up to 8 family members including spouse, children(above 2 years), and parents. Each member of the family must be registered as a FlySmiLes member.

Earning Miles

Earn miles when your family members fly with SriLankan Airlines. Miles earned by family members will be apportioned between family member and the family head on 50/50 basis. Same is applicable for bonus miles.

Avail a special anniversary discount of 45% off on the joining fee for registrations in September 2024

More Information

An initial registration fee of 50USD will be charged per family to enroll into the family programme.
The sharing of miles is only applicable on flights operated by SriLankan Airlines.
Nominee fee for nominee tickets issued within the group will not be charged.
Transfer fee will not apply when transferring miles from the family head account to a family member account. If the transfer is within the group without involvement of the family head, a transfer fee of 20USD will be applicable.
If the family head wishes to leave the program, new head should be appointed immediately, and the 50% miles earned will be added to the new head.
The family head will receive related communications of all transactions within the members of the family group.
The miles earned by the members prior to their joining the group will remain on their personal account.
An additional fee of 15USD will be charged when adding an additional family member after completing the initial family linking process.
YoungSmiLes members cannot be a family head of the programme.
The family head shall pay 50USD per family programme as a renewal fee every three (3) years after enrollment to the programme.
Member benefits remain the same as per the main programme.

Family members over 18 years of age can de-link from the family programme and have their own family account as family head. The miles earned prior to de-linking shall remain in the previous family head’s account. De-linking should be informed via an Email or a Letter with the member signature.
Only 2 changes are possible within 12 months in the family group. 1000 miles will be deducted for each change.
If a member wishes to leave the group, he/she will only be able to join back or join another group after a period of 90 days.
