Terms and Conditions

1. Rates given are applicable for blocks of 05 Kilograms.
2. FlySmiLes student club members will be permitted to carry a maximum of 60kgs excess baggage per flight. This is excluding the standard free baggage allowance entitled as per your respective ticket, and additional luggage allowances based on your FlySmiLes membership tier.
3. Only one excess baggage redemption voucher will be issued per flight.
4. Excess baggage redemption vouchers will be valid for date and flight specified and cannot be changed.
5. Excess baggage vouchers are non-transferable.
6. The above rates are applicable only for all FlySmiLes student club members.
7. FlySmiLes Student Club members cannot nominate anyone to avail of this facility.
8. FlySmiLes Student Club members are required to request excess baggage awards a minimum of 48 hours prior to departure.
9. The excess baggage voucher should be presented at check-in and acceptance is subject to payload availability.
10. Once the voucher is issued it cannot be re credited or exchanged to any other sector. (Outside of applicable destinations)
11. Excess baggage awards are for single use only. Partly utilized vouchers will not be accepted and cannot be redeemed for cash/miles.
12. Baggage awards are applicable only on flights operated by SriLankan Airlines. Not applicable on codeshare and partner airline flights.
13. In case of Excess Baggage Award being restricted at check-in by unforeseen limitations e.g., flight payload FlySmiLes miles will be credited back to the member’s account.
