Colombo, August 15 2018: SriLankan Airlines has temporarily suspended flights to and from the South Indian city of Cochin until 18th August, following the closure of Cochin Airport due to flooding in the region.
Cochin Airport was closed today (15th August) until 2 p.m. on 18th August due to heavy floods in the area and further updates on the situation are awaited from authorities at Kochi Airport.
Accordingly, SriLankan Airlines wishes to inform all passengers booked to fly to or from Cochin during this period, that they may opt instead to fly from or to another city served by SriLankan in South India, at no extra charge.

SriLankan Airlines regrets the inconvenience to its valued passengers, due to circumstances beyond its control. Passengers who were scheduled to travel from Cochin to Colombo on the Wednesday morning flight, which was cancelled, were provided hotel accommodation, and alternate arrangements were made for them to travel Colombo.
