The SriLankan Airlines online booking facility provides you a convenient way of booking your flights over the internet through our website www.srilankan.com
To book your SriLankan Airlines flight, select your travel dates, choose a suitable flight, confirm your traveler details and decide how you would like to pay.
The online booking facility at www.srilankan.com also allows you to choose your preferred meals, reserve your seat, make changes to your booking and request for additional services all by yourself at the click of a button. It also gives you the best fares available with no hidden charges.
Do I have to register as a FlySmiLes frequent flyer member before I can book online?
This is not mandatory. However, by registering as a FlySmiLes member or subscribing to our mailing list will allow you to take advantage of our offers, special promotions and special benefits as a frequent flyer member.
Can I check availability and fares without actually purchasing a ticket?
Yes you can. Please enter your preferred travel dates and destination in our booking widget to check the availability of flights and fares. You are not required to complete your payment
Once I am satisfied with an itinerary, how do I purchase it?
Once you have selected the flights that you are satisfied with on the “Select flights” page on our booking flow,

You will receive your ticket to the email address you entered at the time of the booking.
How do I get my ticket when I book my flight online?
When you make your booking online, you will receive an electronic ticket (also referred to as an ‘e-ticket) to the email address that you provided during the booking process.

What are the time limitations for booking online?
Using real time payment, you can book your flight online up to 6 hours before the scheduled departure time of your flight.
What are Fare Families?
SriLankan Airlines Fare Families offer easy to understand travel options across cabins allowing you greater flexibility to choose fares that match your preferences and travel budgets.
Promo restrict
Promo Restrict is our lowest fare and is available only for a limited time. This fare family comes with more restrictions than our other fare families such as travel restrictions, conditions with regards to the allocation of FlySmiLes miles, travel conditions and other such rules. Please read through the fare conditions on the website at the time of booking as they may vary from time to time.
Promo Flex
This is our lowest fare family and is mostly available during promotions. Travel restrictions & conditions in this fare class are more relaxed than in promo restrict. Please read through the fare conditions on the website at the time of booking as they may vary from time to time.
Saver
A Saver Fare is SriLankan Airlines’ base level entry fare and is available for sale and travel all year round, subject to availability. Generally, these fares allow itinerary changes & refunds with a fee.
Value Fare
Value Fares allow cancellations and changes at a reduced fee along with a longer ticket time limit window as compared to our Saver fares.
Flex Fare
Flex Fares allow changes and cancellations at no cost (except in case of no show/refund).
Does the online booking system only search for the date that I have chosen?
If you select the flexible dates option on our booking widget, fares for 3 days before and after your desired date will be displayed to you.
Can I search for a one-way flight?
Yes you can. This option is available to you when you select the ‘one way’ option in the booking widget when entering your details.
How do I find the least expensive flights?
www.srilankan.com flight display always includes the lowest fares available. The best options will be flagged in the fare sheet once you enter your details in the booking widget.
Where can I find the fare rules and conditions when making an online booking?
Please see ‘purchase conditions’ during the booking process after selecting your flights. Reading this is very important as this contains all the details pertaining to your fare. If you want to make any changes to your itinerary or make a refund, the ticket penalty values of the given fare is applicable.
Will extra fees and taxes be charged on top of the price I see quoted for my tickets?
The fares displayed on the site are inclusive of all taxes and fees and is therefore final. You will not be charged extra for the bookings you make online on www.srilankan.com. There are no hidden fares.
We accept only a selection of currencies. Payments made in any other currency will be converted to USD and will be charged in USD. Please note that the relevant bank charges will apply.
