SriLankan School Green Club’s First Educational Programme

SriLankan Environment Unit together with SriLankan Cares held the first educational programme for its School Green Club members, who are the students of Andiambalama Maha Vidyalaya on the 19th October at the SriLankan Aviation College. This fruitful educational programme was focused on “Paper recycling”, and was conducted by Mr. Nuwan Amarawardana, an Engineer from University of Moratuwa.
The objective of this programme is to give the school children the basic knowledge on paper recycling and walk them through the process. More emphasis was given on how easy the paper recycling is, what materials are needed, the technology involved and Savings that the process brings in terms of Energy & environment. This topic was selected with an intention of promoting green education among school children as well as developing a paper recycling project with the School.
